Local tickets

My query is that my auntie who lives near the site was given a form for a local ticket, she does not want to go,so she offered me the chance of using her form.It stated on the form that if you were not going to use the ticket they would prefer that you give it to a relative or close freind, and if you did that you must put down the name and address of the person who is to use the ticket. I rang see and told them that I had not recieved a ticket no yet and the person on the phone said that as my address is not in the area they would not have accepted the registration. On the form it never stated that the relative had to live within the local(free ticket) area could anyone clarify this for me please.

If the form said:

"that if you were not going to use the ticket they would prefer that you give it to a relative or close freind, and if you did that you must put down the name and address of the person who is to use the ticket."

then I can't see why the relative or friend would need to live in the local area as they would already have been offered a ticket???

if auntie lives in Pilton then she will have been offered a 'free' residents ticket. if she lives within the 'locals' catchment which is limited to towns and villages within a 5 mile radius then she will have been allowed to apply for a weekend ticket from an allocation set aside from the general ticket pot, but at full cost. either way no money has been spent so i don't see why anyone shoud think they are entitled to compensation....

tbh i wouldnt hold out much hope of getting a ticket if you dont fall into either category....they have got pretty strict on this in recent years following a spate of locals selling tickets on....although with registration and photos this isnt any where near as much a risk as it was.

<_<
