Alex Morris
Hello All! Right, 5 of us have booked tickets to Exit, and have booked flights to Budapest. We're looking at ways to get to Novi Sad from Budapest. One possibility is getting a hire car for 6 days. We're thinking it would be great to have a car to explore serbia during the day (trip to Belgrade etc) Has anybody done this before? Do you need any additional insurance/documents for the border crossing? Will hire car companies let you take their cars into Serbia?! Any advice would be grately appreciated! SorD
I also considered this idea, we're going to Prague for a few days first off i was thinking of doing a drive down from there to Serbia, stopping off at places on the way. After a bit of contemplation ive decided against it. Have you ever been to Serbia? The roads are f**king nuts mate! i personally wouldn't want to drive on those roads. Alex Morris
No haven't driven in Serbia before but sounds like quite a challenge! Although there will be 2 of us sharing the driving & I assume most of it will be along (so called) motorways. Just been doing some reading on people's experience & don't like the look of this 100-200EUR insurance to drive in Serbia! Maybe we're gonna have to give this one a miss too....Shame, was looking forward to a road trip!
ColFace
I must say I admire your optimism. Up partying all night then day tripping during the day! Novi Sad will surely have car rental places?
Sanguinius
Yeah , there is plenty of rental agencies in Novi Sad , so you can rent something over here , its like 20-30euros a day for a VW Polo or something like that. If you have any questions about Novi Sad feel free to msg me , cheers.
