erm .... that's not a self-confirm, that's quite possibly nothing more than the wrong presumption of a journo - journo-written comments like that in an article often turn out to be wrong.

Having said that, it's probably not. But it's not a self-confirm.

i know that feeling only too well hombrederayo, i booked nine gigs in 4 weeks in the lead up to bearded theory, started to feel the pain now, what with that and the drinking involved in brightons continued attempt to leave league 1 in the wrong direction. and of course fingers crossed the celebration that will ensue this saturday. but hey back to placebo, i'd try to check them out as i've not seen them for years

Placebo did not confirm themselves from what is in the article. The statement that they were playing Glastonbury was from the journo and not the band.

Whether or not that's true is unclear - they have a date or dates overseas on Glasto weekend, so while that doesn't make Glasto impossible it probably makes it fairly difficult to do logistically.

Battle for the sun - the album's namesake single not sure if its the first single, but a couple of youtube videos describe it as the single, probably poor info on their part. either way i think its much better than the other song

FWIW is the first single. BFTS is not being released (at least not yet), it's just an album track, not entirely sure why that had first airplay.
