Getting insurance on tickets

Guest Brock Landers

Right, having picked up two tickets back in feb I've came across a bit of a problem. Due to only really thinking about things now/being a proper lazy arse I've only just thought about the possibility of them getting lost in the post. As such I've tried to get some insurance on them today. I've followed the link from my confirmation e-mail (back in feb) but then its not letting me, stating "Either your reference number is incorrect or you have already purchased insurance". Now I know for a fact I havent purchased insurance and a quick check on the tracker advises my number is correct and that my tickets are in stock. As a result of this I called See directly. The first bloke I spoke to said I couldnt book insurance due to the fact I ordered over the phone and that the only opportunity to do so would have came within the immediate days after buying them?. When I asked if there was any chance I could still get insurance (as the festival is 8 weeks away) he said none.

Knowing how inconsistent/incompetent seetickets can be I immediately rang back and spoke to another agent. He advised me to try through the confirmation link again (which I did), the above happened again. He said that I should still be able to get insurance but that I would have to do it through the main site. Have tried and cant find anysort of link to add it/any sort of FAQ. Feel like my heads gonna explode now!, can anybody please help?.

The insurance I think is more for refund if you are (for instance) too ill to attend. Instead of being for the tickets getting lost in the post.

If See don't deliver your tickets you are legally entitiled to a refund without any need for insurance as they have not supplied the goods as contracted to do so.

you don't need to purchase insurance on your festival tickets against being lost in the post... its the same delivery method for all of them which'll be insured

...unless I've completely misunderstood something

as far as i know the tickets are sent recorded delivery (they were last year), therefor it should be easy enough for you to prove if you havent recieved them. plus i cant see the ticket suppliers kicking off that much if they go missing because the tickets have your photo on them making it hard for you to pass them on and then claim you never recieved them

I think you are referring to

"Lost in the Post "

Which is where the £4 or £5.00 booking fee comes in when you book tickets , you in effect paid for

a form of insurance then.

See Tickets will not just send the tickets out in the post , a signature will be required.

What I would say , is if they fail to deliver em cos you are not in , do not delay in sorting out

re-delivery.
