Inspired by the Mew comments, I wondered about the relative merits of appearing on a big stage in the minor slots, or appearing on a minor stage as a headliner.

I limited to three options, I hope you can see that they're representative. Yeah, some bands do both (e.g. Seasick Steve), but the poll's not giving you that option.

Hmm - maybe would've liked the option of The Jazz Field or The Park stage at dusk. The sunset bit of the day is lovely somewhere a bit more off beat but The Acoustic and Avalon are indoors!

Then again - ending the whole night at The Glade or The Dance Village is pretty good too!

The options are endless.

As a band you'd have to be looking for maximum exposure therefore Pyramid anytime is good because the BBC will get you - if you go anywhere else they're a bit baffled!

Tbh - by headline time - I'll be happy wherever I end up - Jay Z was an amazing surprise last year, The Chemical Brothers on The Other the year before (I just love them tho!), through to Toots and The Maytals at in the Jazz field whilst the rest of the world was heading to Paul McCartney in 2004, and last year ending up at Dreadzone in The Glade when I'd thought I was choosing between KOL, Jimmy Cliff and Fat Boy Slim! You can't go far wrong at the end of the night to be fair.
