i think he is incredibly influential. his festival provides millions for charities which has hleped billions of people, bands who have influenced millions have made it big at glastonbury and the festival contributes to the UK economy quite a bit.

well not everyone can do good all the time, occasionally they have to do something evil.

He himself might not be that influential, but what he causes to happen certainly is. Glastonbury, with a nod to Reading, is the model that all other festivals try to emulate. In fact, after the demise of the free festivals in the early 70's, I'd say he has almost singlehandedly created the "socially acceptable" festival market. If I could leave such a legacy I'd be dead chuffed. And dead, of course.
