The Other Stage

I was just wondering why are there less bands announced or 'TBC' than the other stages?

Is this normal? Are these details always later? When can we expect them?

It's just looking at previous years line-ups I'm guessing this stage will have most of the stuff I'll want to see.

Any comments please?

Someone must know why we've got so few acts that have been confirmed or rumoured for the Other Stage.

Could it be the bloke who books the acts for that stage is stuck in Mexico with a bit of a cough?

there's hardly any bands confirmed at all for any stage; smaller bands tend to self-announce - eavis tends to spill the names of a few of the pyramid bands, and that's that. there's a few bands with unknown stage that could well play the other stage though.

just be patient 'till early june

There is usually an official confirmed line up around the end of May/start of June when Q mag comes out. Although I remember reading about a rumour of the 8th May so never know! (doubt it though).

I think the other stage is booked by the main festival organisers (along with the likes of the pyramid, park and JP tent) while stages/areas like Avalon and Dance Village are booked seperatley - so it should not be the case that they are any less organised / more secretive with that stage than the others.

It boils down to the fact that the official line-up does not get announced for another month and all the confirmed acts have come about through acts self confirming or organisers letting slip a few names to get people excited/help with ticket sales.
