glasto_freak
This is my first glasto, and I don't really know what the place is like. It would be nice to have a cool tent coz i hate sleeping in the warm, and hate warm beer. So, is there much under tree camping space so I could stay out of the roasting sun (which it definatly will be)? And how early would i have to arrive to get me some

hazey_jane
Other issue would be loads of blokes pissing against the side of them. Not supposed to but it doesn't stop the barstewards to do it. The other thing you could do though is get those silver things that you put on your windscreen to stop the sun coming in the car and stick those on the sides of the tent
Alcatraz
Understandably, tree'd areas tend to be fence off. There might be some shade from the hedges or someone with a heuuuuge tent

Laura_Babs
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Emergency-Space-Foil...93%3A1|294%3A50 Just buy a few of them and attach them to your tent with clothes pegs... works a treat
pezzypops
I used some last year and they worked well. Got mine from Poundland - 2 for £1.

Kyelo
Avoid walls, fences, bushes, trees and anything else that's likely to get pissed on. I just leave the door inside my tent open, keeps it cool enough. Leave my beer in the living area also, keeps the beer cool. Never had any problems. Man up anyway! You'll hardly spend anytime in your tent, little bit of heat won't do any harm. Edited May 3, 2009 by BenchBuddah

r0cky
You can make your own shade by rigging a tarp up. Or take a tent with more ventilation, ideally with an entrance at each side of the bedroom so you can get some cross flow. Quechua Base Seconds is ideal, or something like Vango Sigma 300+. Space blankets work wonders, but the rustling is very bad, and they probably wouldn't stay on if the wind got too strong.
