Disabled Parking?

Recommended Posts

with regard to parking a friend of mine has a dodgy ankle from an accident and has a disabled badge as he cant walk very far on it. is there provision for disabled parking? i've never had to think about it before so dont know how it works. Could i drop him off and park elsewhere or are there separate areas near to the gates? any info appreciated.

My brother is using this facillity, don't know how many disabled parking places there are but what i do know is that once there a shuttle bus will take you to where you want to be. Yellow gate i think

From http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/info...ion.aspx?id=184

"There will be a free shuttle bus running from the disabled car park to the disabled camping area, with stewards available to assist you in the loading and unloading of your equipment. There will also be a bus running to the other side of the site. The buses supplied will be wheelchair friendly and priority as always will go to people with disabilities. "

I'm not sure, but Im guessing to use this shuttlebus, you will need to have registered to do so with the festival before the end of this month (you definitely have to register to use the carpark/campsite). There is more info about doing that on the website above.

HTH!
