5000 you say? ever thought that people just simply aren't buying them as quickly due to the aforementiond credit crunch (which you no doubt predictded back in '03)? i don't know 1 person who's bought one since the link went live again.

you called seetickets bluff. tip top. i say 'called' but it's probably more attributed to luck/a hunch/a wim/clutching at metophorical straws...etc repeat to fade.

now for the future - you just need a website, a fair few thousand forum members, the ability dig out relatively accurate info on acts and A LOT of time and dedication and you've got a resource that'd be second to... oh, ummm, wait a moment... sorry about that... second to efestivals.

Efestivals kept on telling us it would be under and there would very hard to get one in the resale. He also said very unlikely to be more on sale. As i have said numerous times there would be more on sale but efestivals and certain people on here joked and laughed and said it wasnt true. Looks like i was right. This topic is proving to people not to laugh at my thoughts and hopefully trust my opnins sometimes. They are not always right but this time they were. Thankyou.mike99

Mike99 always gets a hard time on this forum. Sometimes warranted and others not.....but he is the butt of a lot of abuse and jokes none the less.......as such when his opinion about tickets was expressed a while back with regards feeling there will be more then people think on resale it was easy for people to shoot him down and rubbish his opinion due to his past posting...........that said I actually beleive he is very much justified in creating this thread as a response to those past shut downs in light of the fact that there have been tickets available on sale for the past 5 days!!

Just because more tickets have become available doesn't necessarily have anything at all to do with any returns.

The fest has various piles of tickets - some for general sale, some for 'VIP' sale (mainly to record companies and the like), locals tickets, performers tickets, staff tickets, etc, etc, etc.

These are put together initially with overly large piles for the non-general sale tickets, to ensure they have enough for those other needs. As it gets closer to the fest they have a better idea of the exact numbers needed for each of those bits, and if all the tickets aren't needed they are then made available for general sale.

So mike99, it's not all as simple as you want to think of it as, and there is no guarantee that any tickets on general sale are returns.

except along with that only-perhaps 'right' are all the many 'wrongs' - like how quick they'd sell out in each 'proper' general sale, and maybe even the assumption that these recent tickets are returns.

Did I categorically say that no further tickets would be on sale? Nope. Because that would be daft as there always is each and every year.

How many tickets have been sold in this recent batch? No one has a clue. It might have been only ten for all anyone knows.

"Ok, have just rung See tickets and all ok they had misspelt tiscali on my email address, I now have reference nos so not stressed any more.

I asked the operator if tickets were still available. He said that officially tickets were not onsale but due to a technical problem people had been able to buy them on line over the weekend and this had now stopped. All tickets bought this way were valid. He said that there would be a resale of returns, probably a week or two after the 8th May (latest returns date). The tickets sold over the weekend were being saved for this future resale. It all seems a bit weired but he seemed to be a very genuine bloke."

I'm not seeing anything particularly strange / stockpile conspiracy etc.

The tickets sold out. There's some returns. As there always are. This year they've been dribbled out ad-hoc. Or they are spares from other allocations. Or both.

Where is this 5000+ tickets / not sold out crap coming from?

Same fantasy land that said there were 30,000 tickets secretly held back? So secret that only one random poster on a internet forum had been 'specially let in on the secret'?

Maybe this is just a modern day version of "Cliff Richard's Died" or "Prince is going to be playing a secret gig"
