rachbon
How can there be a DJ set? their music is kind of slow indy right? Slightly like Blur but really boring? (I like Blur) I listened to a couple of their songs on Youtube and really didn't like it. Not trying to criticize or anything just not for me at all. _Warriors Dance_
I wouldn't say they sound like Blur, they are more experimental and alternative. And who's to say they'll only play their own music when they are DJing!? Gruff Rhys is part of Neon Neon, so I'd expect a decent and eclectic mix from him/them. rachbon
So they will have decks etc, busting out some beats as opposed to their slow indy stuff you mean? I just dont understand how a slow indy band can DJ you get me?
_Warriors Dance_
they will be playing as a live band, and doing a dj set. so people in bands can't be dj's aswell? what about soulwax then? people can have more than one talent you know. rachbon
Right I think I get you and I was not trying to be ignorent. I dont know the band and did not understand how they could do a DJ set. Soulwax have a lot of electronic stuff in their stuff so it is easier to imagine I suppose. From what I have heard of Super Furry ~ its very slow band stuff. The opposite of a dance/dj act. I guess thats why its hard to imagine.

_Warriors Dance_
Check out Neon Neon mate, Gruff Rhys' side project--totally different sounding to the Furries. I reckon you'll like their stuff and that this will be more the sound they'll aim for at the Rizla.

Kowalski
Just hope Weatherall closes the festival on Sunday night when the main stages have finished. Would be the perfect end, a la Graeme Park last year.

Hexagon Eye
Oh aye, the furries will play a great DJ set im sure, Cian is part of the Acid Casuals who make and play great techno, Gruff is in Neon Neon and even the furries have a lot of electronic songs in their back catalogue. One of the best bands on the planet in my opinion.
