GCam 2009

In 2007 I did this:

GCam2007 is a fun project for the Glastonbury Festival 2007.

10 clearly labelled disposable cameras were deposited in various parts of the Glastonbury site, with instructions printed on them.

The instructions:

Take two photographs, then leave the camera for someone else to find.

If the film is finished, put the camera in a postbox.

The cameras were pre-printed with an address, and had stamps affixed.

All cameras that actually made it back were processed and the pictures published here.

an absolutely brilliant idea and a salute you - just such a great great idea - SUPERB!!!!

Just be careful you know the processing staff well in case anyone decides to take a photo of something inappropriate that could land you in trouble as you have no way of seeing what is on the film before you hand it over.

But again - such a great idea.

Fairly spur of the moment, and not so much "hidden" as deposited: benches, tables, on top of sculptures, that sort of thing. I think I seeded five on the Thursday and five on the Friday.

For various reasons, I skipped Glastonbury last year and went to Bestival. I meant to do a BCam at Bestival, but for some reason I didn't get super-duper-excited in the run up, so I forgot. Bestival's great, but Glastonbury has this power to fill me with anticipation.
