I think Horace Andy will be playing directly after them on the Saturday! Hopefully Horace will come on stage for a bit of Radiodread!

I can't f**king wait for this band man! Seriously think I'll end up seeing all three gigs, although I might just stay for half of Dub side as I don't think they cover the tunes after money very well, then again Brain Damage followed by eclipse live could be unmissable!

We can at last reveal the exciting news: Easy Star All-Stars are playing three different stages over three days at the UK’s biggest festival, Glastonbury. Each set will focus on one of the band’s tribute albums: Friday night at the East Dance stage, the band will focus on DUB SIDE OF THE MOON; Saturday afternoon at The Park stage, they will focus on RADIODREAD; Sunday, on the Pyramid stage, they will be presenting EASY STAR’S LONELY HEARTS DUB BAND. Look for other surprises to come soon in relation to this. Then in July, the band will be making its first trip to Japan to play the legendary Fuji Rock Festival on Saturday, July 25th. More details on that will be coming soon.

Ive got Easy stars Sgt Peppers and its great, cant stop playing it, For the Benefit of Mr Kite and A day in the life are superb, specially Mr Kite..................I will def be taking a wonder down to the pyramid to watch them perform it, cant wait !!!

A more reasonable background summary.

Easy Star is a reggae label in New York.

The Easy Star All Stars is their house band.

Someone had the bright idea of covering Dark Side of the Moon, the whole album, in a reggae/dub style. It was very good. I like it, and I don't even like the original.

That was a great success, so they followed up with a cover of OK Computer. My favourite moment on that one is the intro to Let Down. On the original it's a bit of a filler and a downer. ESAS make it a happy song to dance to.

Now they've done Sgt Pepper. I've not heard that one yet. I'm very tempted to hear it at Glastonbury for the first time...

You're going to love A Day in The Life, although as a whole I don't like the album as much as Radiodread and Dub Side, it's more of a straight reggae cover of Sgt Pepper's, less of a radical transformation. My favourite on Radiodread is Electioneering.
