What's the best way to find out about the suprise guests?

Obviously, I guess the best way to hear about rumours of suprise appearances leading up to the festival will be on this message board won't it?

But when we leave the comfort and security of our internet and swap it for a field in Somerset how do we find out any last minute news?

I think i've heard there is a site newspaper. Will that have any info? Or even clues?

It's been suggested that Arctic Monkeys may do a suprise slot. If I find out after the event that they played and I missed them I'll be well pissed off.

How have people heard about them in the past? Can you get this message board on your mobile phone? Or is it just pot luck?

Any suggestions?

Check the festival programme & look for entries of "Special Guests" & they should give you a few clues about who it may be that's scheduled to play.

There's a badger wearing a red deerstalker that is usually hanging out on the old railway line somewhere. He'll tell you what's going on. He moves around a bit though and has a habit of hiding in the bushes so you need to look hard, and be patient, but that dude always has his ear to the ground.

In 07 The Beat had their mates wandering around site spreading a rumour The Specials would be doing a reunion gig in the Left Field tent on Thursday night. It was the Beat but it certainly got them a crowd.

If you're bothered with finding the real secret gigs, you'd better buy some roadies some drinks.

I found Last Shadow Puppets last year through curiosity when walking past the Park. A sh*t load of people were legging it at speed up the hill towards the Park Stage so I thought I would follow them to see what the fuss was all about. Had no idea until I got there & asked a bloke next to me. Just follow your nose!

sorry just home from uni, glastonav is a brilliant wee application which is able to tell you where exactly you are in the festival, and u can search what is on at what time, it also gives new announcements for like a chance to meet jay z last year and win a signed something, as well as telling you what suprises their might be, was a godsend, but such a battery waster....

i was talking to the fella who owned the chill and charge tent, and last year they were hoping to get a few more stalls set up which is handy, but im just gonna buy a cheap back up phone as a solution, or walkie talkie...

glastonav can also tell where your friend is if they have it, its pretty smart for something tht was free

I found out about Franz through word of mouth last year. Didn't hear anything about LSP not that I was particularly bothered.

Gonna make sure I get the Q daily each day this year though, just in case.
