shazza_ess
Me and my friends have all booked camping tickets - there are six of us going - but we are all 16 so I have started to panic about getting turned away at the door for not having someone over 21 with us. I was wondering how strictly they ID people both at the doors and inside at bars? Also, we are planning on taking drink with us, will that get taken off us? Thanks. Guy Rope Tripper
started going to festivals when I was 16, the campsite is no bother, gettin served bevvy is difficult but there are so many bars you can just keep trying your luck until you find one that serves you

Kyelo
unless you look over 21 i think you are wasting your money. security like nothing more than taking booze off you anyway and if you turn up looking underage you can say goodbye to it straightaway. Da_J_Doc-~
Someone on another thread said they were made to wear a pink glove for the whole festival as they were under 18 o as the bar staff could tell their age, wonder if it will be the same this year? saoralba
See on the Rockness ticket terms and conditions, it says, and i quote; "All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21" Will this be a problem, our group is mixed of 18 y/o's and nearly 18 y/o's. Getting quite worried about getting turned away.. Thanks for any help, David.

Rocknesss
For the underagers of our group, who may be bringing drink into the campsite, will they get it taken off them, even if theres no glass bottles, if they can't prove theyre over 18? Thanks for the quick response, David.

Kyelo
Had serious last minute worries there, especially for the 17 y/o's in our group. Just a few quick questions. Do I need my ID for the gate to get a overs band, or is it upon entering the bars? Do I need my ID at the bars, even though I previously got ID'd for my overs band? For the underagers of our group, who may be bringing drink into the campsite, will they get it taken off them, even if theres no glass bottles, if they can't prove theyre over 18? Thanks for the quick response, David. Edited June 7, 2009 by BenchBuddah
rexclark
I found that the token people weren't too strict but they were IDing alot of people at the bars. I'm sure If you're stuck you'll find someone to help you out.
