i walk to work 5 days a week, and thats up hill, about 2 miles there and back each day.

I do a load of sit ups in the morning...just doing 50 at the mo' but hoping to rise it.

Im also lending my mums 'stepper' as of tomorrow :) so will be doing that of an evening.

OK...

am now back in Blighty...christ its cold!!! And now am here and not living in a van where the only places to eat every day are Macca's Subway and KFC cos its just easier that way...the big mish now is to try and live on a diet of broccoli, seeds and other yummy veg and not be tempted by take out for the next however many weeks it is until I stuff my face again with lashings of Tartiflette and Pauline Fowler Growler's etc!

Is it doable that is the question? The only major problem to the plan is catching up on the missing of decent cider in my life these past 11 months in Oz! Can weightloss take place...healthy eating ruined by the temptation of proper English Cider in Exeter? Help!

BUT saying that, watched the finale of Australian Biggest Loser just over a week ago and boy that programme is inspiring...I just need the the personal trainer and 6 weeks commando training on Fitzroy Island to get to the similar result of the winner Bob, 57 (he lost half his body weight in 3 months!)

All this and more is totally possible, if you

(a) Don't have a job

( Have a personal trainer

© Have your own qualified nutritionsit

and

(d) Have a heap of motivation, and/or people willing to motivate you...

Seeing as most of us only have (d), and even then, our motivation is of somewhat of a "fair weather" brand...

Not a chance.

You will however, feel and look better if you try, even if only a little.

hey mate,

I work nights, and at first I found it pretty hard eating well. most people get takeaways or get crap from the crisp machine, you have to make the effort -

I personally cook a load of chicken 9in reggae reggae sauce), boil some vegetables, and take them along with 2 baked potatoes + some mixed nuts

Well, thanks to the inspiration on here I went for a lovely 3 hour walk yesterday (have no idea what that is in miles)... best of all I really enjoyed it so hopefully it'll be the health kick I needed

I did race for life the other day and found that when the crowd cheer you on it really gets you going, even when you feel like you just want to walk the rest.

So, I'm going to get an mp3 of a crowd cheering, add my name in, and run with it in my ears  That's gotta work, right?

I've been working out since October to try and be fittre for Glasto. I'm hoping that I will have fewer aches and pains this year as a consequence. It has all been going fine, just going to the gym 2-3 times a week mainly. Although I went swimming in an outdoor pool last week and almost had a heart attack. My vision actually went blurry :( so my advice would be don't go swimming in an outdoor pool in London in May.

Hmm...return from Oz and get taken out for dinner at least 3 times already! Diet will commence at some point but not while this keeps happening! Oh and the 10 pints of fresh pressed cider from the National Cider Collection now languishing in my kitchen are not helping either! :P

Just get your partner to dump you. I've lost 2 stone since December, its great!!!

Obviously there are some fairly huge downfalls to this, but hey, I've lost weight! Always look to the positive B)

Peace x
