Stronger Lineup Than Last Year?

I'm starting to think that the lineup this year is better than 08. I'm not keen on the headliners mind, but there are loads of acts I want to see already:

Ray Davies

Beardyman (ok, he played last year too)

Easy Star All Stars

Spinal Tap!!!

Josh Wink

London Elektricity

Spaceships Are Cool

Timo Maas

The Streets

The Lancashire Hotpots

Klaxons

Echo and the Bunnymen

Dub Pistols

Doves

Dizzee Rascal (ok, he played last year as well, but this is a longer set hopefully)

Bjorn Again

I know at least two of those played last year and a fair number played in 2007, but this year's line up just feels solid. That list is only the ones I knew I liked before the lineup was released. There are many more than I've been listening to on Myspace/LastFm that I'd never heard of before, but would happily go and see.

What do you all think? Better or worse than recent years?

I think this year has got some excellent bands. I agree the headliners aren't my cup of tea, but some of the acts that have already been confirmed and those that are strong rumours are fantastic.

this is my first year going to glasto, but as a keen festival enthusiast i feel that last years line up was pretty week. for me, this years is stronger by far. on the basis of last years line up i was thinking that i was just going this year for the other stuff. trash city, bit of dance, etc. but to be honest. its turned out to be the best line up of any festival i've been to. with strength not only in depth, but diversity too.

too many good acts for me to see, or name.

The fact that ive got Kasabian, the Virgins, Tommy sparks, and most probs the Rifles has me beaming a smile ear to ear. Then when you throw Blur, pete doherty and the Wombats into the mix it means im currently bouncing of the walls in excitement. And the full lineup aint even bloody announced.

On the Line-up alone its already more than value for money, we've had about 0.01% of it announced.

When its fully confirmed, it'll be Brilliant, then throw in the fact its GLASTONBURY, and we're all laughing.

As for last year... Fratellis second headliner????.... Jay-z headliner???

Come on.

Looks a stronger line-up this year compared to 2008. Didn't watch any of the Pyramid Stage headliners - wasn't interested in any of them.

Leonard Cohen, Manu Chao and Elbow were my music highlights - all excellent.

Am really looking forward to seeing Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, CS & N, Fleetfoxes, Steve Hillage and a long list of others AND this is before the full lineup is announced

I had an excellent Glasto experience last year and am expecting even better for this year now I am getting connected to efestivals folk.

Fingers crossed for good weather in June :) .
