When is the line up offically announced ?

Not so.

The whole lineup was leaked on the Grauniad website at the end of April 2 years ago, and last year most of the line up was published in May to try to improve poor ticket sales.

Usually though it is released in Q at the end of May.

I have to say that I've been most put out this year about the lack of drunken journalists releasing details this year.

I'd have to agree. It seems like they've done a fab job of keeping their mouths shut. Or getting bands/acts to keep their mouths shut. It seems like we know far less this year at this point than in past years...

or... perhaps it's just the new layout on EFests for the 'lineups' since the site was redone, that makes me eyes think this?

there's current 415 listed for this year.

It's too much hassle for me to dig out a backup from this time last year to compare, but i'd be very surprised if there's much difference in the number that are listed this year compared to the same time last year.

and Neil...when are you going to tell us who that mythic 4th headliner - who u said would have been a worthy headliner if they'd have been able to sort it out - would have been?

26th would be perfect for me! hopefully tickets wonbt sell out by then, ill buy mine at 00:00 o'clock on the 16th when my wages go in, the announcment will be made then it will sell out! :-D good bit of optimism lol
