Awful.

(Last post from me on the subject. I don't actually approve of laying into other people's taste in music. However it does seem strange to me that the Lightning Seeds are remembered fondly, when as far as I can see most of their hits are as facile as anything by Scouting for Girls.)

so much hatred !

i used to like the tunes the lightning seeds used to do, however you've gotta remember that was 15 years ago that jollification came out, music tastes have changed loads since then. As for now, im not really a fan of any bands that sound like the lightning seeds but have fond memories of listening to the album when it first came out. for old times sake id probably go and see them

will probably leave them this year, would have prefered to see a solo slot on the acoustic stage, i really liked his solo album a few years back , i'd love to hear pure accoustic - whats wrong with him still dong 3 lions - it one of the songs most sang along to drunklenly songs of the last 20 years its like oasisd not playing wonderwall.

The Lightning Seeds... (insert any positive adjective here) no matter who you are, you have been influenced by their music.

They helped shape the 90's alt. rock scene along with happy mondays, rem, pulp... and not only that, they were instilled in the nation's footballing psyche.

Really??? I remember buying the CD single as if it was yesterday! (Still got it, wonder if it's worth anything!)

I think if they are scheduled right (and glasto tends to be good at that sort of thing) and they get a slot at a time where people are in the mood for familiar, unchallenging pop (with some fairly poetic lyrics) then it'll be great!

Certainly most of their back catalogue are crowd-pleasers I imagine!
