What subjects are you doing?

:D

Word of serious-ness though; actually try your best in them (I know it's a right cliche but..) I just arsed about and was only bothered about getting into college. Now I look back and them and regret not putting in the effort.

Try motivating yourself by thinking that if you get the grade you were predicted/a grade higher than you'll treat yourself to something (or even better, get the 'rents to do it) :P

Yeah that's true, Im hoping that my Dad will 'forget' about the money he lent me to buy V Tickets if I do well! But my results are on the 27th August, 2 Days after V ends, and then, 2 days later I have to go to another festival because the band im in is playing! Ahhh well..

I took the usual, Maths, English, Science, Welsh (I have to coz i live in Wales) R.E (again, because Im in a catholic school.. saaad) Music, Geography and Graphics.. Pretty good subjects apart from two.. :P

Good luck kidda, it may seem a pain but it opens a lot of doors... besides get the grades you want and you can do the courses you want.

Also the more effort you put in now the less chance you will have to work harder getting better grades at a later date, so you can concentrate on practicing some serious riffage with the band.

Also word to the wise college is a big step up from GCSE subjects so the more you put in now, the easier you'll find it later.

Alright mate, first of all good luck with your exams.

Secondly, please, please revise as much as you can, and take it as seriously as you can. It is that important.

Im not saying the results you get from your exams today will map out your life, im just saying that the quickest way to get from 'a to b' is a straight line..know what i mean????

Take me for example, ive been in the sales and marketing pit since i left school..12yrs of somthing i dont really enjoy that much, good at it but not that interested. Only in the past 12mths have i started doing 2 nights a week at college to get my plumbing degree. (always wanted to be a plumber for some reason)

The only reason that i have taken that long is beacuse i never bothered with my exams..did them yes....revise? No. Spent to much time doing other things that seemed more important at the time...and then for the next 8yrs :)

As i say, the results you get wont set your life in stone, but the harder you try now.. Blah, blah, blah

Goode luck dude, hope it works out well for you. :):D:D:D:):)

Well, if you pass that you'll be one up on the V organisers!

Can imagine their exam paper...

1) You want to advertise your festival. Do you-.

a) Have an exciting, up to date website that displays all the relevant information in a timely yet engaging fashion

or

:D Have a website thats never updated, apart from the occasional lapse where you inadvertantly release the names of bands due to be announced by accident which you then remove and then add on a day later, ensuring that ever available inch of screen space is crammed with adverts for the sponsors

2) You have a large, loyal following who ensure the festival sells out every year. Do you-.

a) Maintain the music policy that has got you to this point, mixing in cutting edge artists, new bands and established radio friendly with one or two crap manufactured bands in for comic relief

or

:) Say 'f*ck 'em...it'll sell out anyway' and randomly change the music policy and fill it the line-up with the kinds of bands that would have got laughed out of the Smash Hits offices for not having any artistic merit

3) Could you organise a piss-up in a brewery-.

a) Yes

or

:) No...nor in a field

Events Management - sounds like a police officer with a riot shield to me ;-)

Nah each to their own, maybe getting Rockchic on the V organising team would be good, she's one of us. Just book the Foo Fighters and we're sorted.

And if you do well enough you can then go onto College and do more exams :P yey

thats the boat I'm in at the moment, having just got in from my AS Psychology exam

last year when we went to V we still had the results day the following week hanging over our heads (though we did makea rule not to discuss it) though this year A level results day is the thursday before V, so its either a festival to celebrate, or to drink until i forget about that particular thursday <_<

i should also be revising, woops

GCSE's. Ah, great days. I remember results day (The date on the calendar on the cover of Be Here Now, so that's how long it is since I left school). The rest of my life in front of me just waiting for me to decided what to do. The decision to not realyl try vey hard at my A levels chucked a spanner in the works that set my back by 3 years while I tried work, decided I didn't like it, then had to do evening college to get the HNC that then allowed me to ge onto a degree course), but you live and learn.

But as has been said, try hard and then try a bit harder as it will be worth it.

And then you get to be my age and have day off work so you can take a 3 1/2 hour exam to try to become chartered.
