Indie Disco

Here's a thought......

I'm a Chelmsford V bloke (last year this year I think based on the line-up decline over the years) so we dont get the Indie Disco. So correct me if I'm wrong, but its called the Indie Disco because they play indie/alternative/guitar band music right????

So that leads me onto why is there not a Pop Disco, or a Party in the park disco?? Why?? because V used to be a Festival, not a corporate pop act weekend! I think you Staffs lot may be in for a shock this year. The Indie Disco is going to become the Mini Disco/Pop party.

I think its the same Djs ever year isn't it?

They did start having too Disco on the Friday didn't they one in the Union too, which was less commercial indie didn't they but im sure it wasn't on last year

Was the Union bar [the other Union tent, where theres DJs playing all the time] was that running on the Friday? That might have been the reason

Yeah I think most "Indie" nights use the term "indie" very lightly, and there is a certain element of pop in allot of Indie bands sound at the moment.

They play the usual,Smiths, Stone Roses, Maximo Park and then always throw in a big ending from one of the headliners, they do play dance music is the Strong Bow tent on a Friday night though don't they?

Strongbow had some great tunes Friday evening last year, old hip hop stuff like House of Pain and the like, was great.

Ahh yeah! I've been hoping this for a long time! Even if it was more music based comedy id still be happy (bill bailey, tim minchin, flight of the conchords etc.)

If they add the Conchords I would literally explode with happiness! 'Hiphopapotamus V Rhymnocerous', 'Most Beautiful Girl (In The Room)', 'Think About It'...absolute class.
