OMG ... lots of peeps want more than one so that really b*ggers up what I thought would be a nice and simple dead easy one vote one badge kinda poll doesn't it Oh well, it seemed like a good foolproof idea to keep track of quantity needed at the time anyway !

I'll try to come up with a modified poll or something. Maybe I can add an additional question like "how many extra badges do you want" or something like that without losing the data already entered. Does anyone know anything at all about tweaking polls and know for certain whether any existing votes are reset to zero if you do this ? For now, it's probably far safer to just add a post saying how many you need if it's more than 1 and at least I can trawl through this one thread to determine how many to order when the time comes.

Timescale is probably going to be Last Orders around the end of the month or thereabouts. After that it will be a case of there may be some spare ones available or there may not be. Assuming that most peeps are going to Glasto this year, I was thinking collect from the WaterAid Stand and add your appropriate donation to one of their jolly nice buckets. Don't forget to have a looky at their displays of current projects and campaigns etc. while you're there to see where your do$h is going and get an idea of how much it's going to help. For anyone NOT attending this year, I have something in mind for posting badges out but more about that later. Collection on site is by far the preferred thing wherever possible though as it will hopefully mean WaterAid getting the extra 50/60p it would cost for postage rather than Royal Mail getting their hands on it instead !

Please note that these badges are the original "2008" ones and will be exactly the same as those from last year but check out /index.php?showtopic=120708">this thread for details of the shiny new "2009" Glasto World Cup Badge if you still have your Monorail Badge from last year so don't need another.

not sure how to manage it other than bring a bag full to the Wed + Thur meet + world cup

if you drop a few off at the triangle i can hand them out to people at the triangle .... if that helps

and then walk the money down to water aid just before the game and again the following day for late arrivals

I did have a quite lengthy explanation giving all the various reasons why I've suggested what I have previously and not gone the send by post route, using Justgiving (or similar) or having individuals (be that me or anyone else) unofficially collecting donations on behalf of WaterAid. There was loads of thinking before offering to do this ! However, after holding back from posting for a day then reading it again (and again and again and again) I kinda came to the conclusion that some peeps might possibly misunderstand what I was trying to say and perhaps get the completely wrong end of the stick !! So, as this is very much a nice and happy kinda thread and I'd really like it to remain so, I've left my original explanation out. Suffice it to say that I think there is no shortage of very good reasons why collect on site and in person from Mr.WaterAid is by far the best way for peeps to make their appropriate donation to WaterAid and pick up their badge(s).

Having thought some more about what's been said though, how's about if the pre-ordered badges were effectively allocated in advance ? i.e. there was something with your (eFests) name on it containing the appropriate number of nice shiny round metal things awaiting collection from Mr.WaterAid. Will that help prevent any worries about not getting them and so on ?

Hope so and with that in mind, I've just sorted out a list of names .vs. quantity required which I needed to do at some point anyway in order to check how many to order seeing that I completely overlooked the possibility that some peeps might actually want more than 1 when I did the poll

Here's the list so far but there are obviously around 17 names missing because some peeps just voted and didn't post anything on the thread. Can you please check that I've got your requirements right and post a correction if I've c*cked up or if your name is missing etc. I'll keep an eye on the thread and repost an updated list every now and again to hopefully ensure it's correct and that no one misses out.

I've just added the very latest version of the list of names/quantities to the end of the 1st post so that everyone can always find it easily and to save wasting acres of space by having to keep reposting it every time something changes.

List updated - please check that your name is on the list at the end of the 1st post in this thread and that the number of badges you want is shown correctly. If your name is missing or there are any other c*ckups then post a correction and I'll get it sorted ASAP.

If you're not on the list then there is every possibility that you will find that there aren't enough badges available and you'll miss out

Same thing goes for Glasto World Cup badges if you've shown an interest in those as well. Please check that your name is on the list /index.php?showtopic=120708">HERE or there may not be enough available and you risk missing out.
