Forget bog roll - take pocket tissues!

You can't carry a whole bog roll out and about with you. Even a short trip out from the tent is useless with one in the rain.....and if you try to tear sections off to take with you, no matter how much you put in your pocket, it'll be a nasty crumpled little mess when you come to use it.

A pack of pocket tissues stays nice and neat (and mostly dry) until you need it. I usually take about 6 packs and this is plenty for the weekend. They sit nicely alongside my wet wipes in my pocket.

We actually have a complete four page list of everything we need to take and then allocate names to things beforehand so that three people don't bring washing up bowls but no one brings washing up liquid.

Cling film for wraping around your trolley ensuring all your stuff doesnt fall off when you hit a bump. Very usefull

Colapsable washing bowl - so u can have a wash - jept us sweet smelling all weekend

Ear plugs - if you want to sleep.

Thumbs up here for:

- Gaffer tape

- Bungee cords (I use them for attaching stuff to my backpack)

- Soap (I carry hand gel too, but it's great to wash your hands occasionally too!)

- Camera (small enough to fit in my pocket - I love taking photos at Glastonbury)

- Snackage (I get the train so don't lug tonnes of food and drink, but some chocolate can be a lifesaver!)

I always take a small bottle of shower gel to wash my hands after I've been to the loo. That antibacterial gel doesn't really cut it.

It's also nice to share it around at the taps!

take a pen knife. i took it the first year and my mates laughed at me. within 10 minutes of being there we'd needed it so much that they all went off and bought their own at inflated prices

brilliant for:- sawign big thistles off the ground. eating, cooking, sorting out tent pegs. cutting ropes. opening food packets. snipping things.

just an awesome all round tool
