I'm so looking forward to living in a field for a week, it will be like going on some isolated wilderness retreat but with amazing food, booze, bands and lots of lovely like-minded people. Can't wait.

The thing is everyone is fed up with the dickhead politicians but the nation is full of too many apathetic individuals for anyone to do anything about it. What we need to remember is that the power actually lies with the people and not those power hungry fleecers. Let's stage a protest at the pyramid this year when the last band goes off and everyone can get out their flags and banners and stick two fingers up to the greedy bastards that are stealing from us to let them know we're on the edge of a revolution. ;)

Agree with the people needing to be livelier. the youth of today dont know how to have a bloody good time and they should mosh their little faces off. DOES MY HEAD IN

Also, a stage especially for hiphop, not just bunging it in the middle of dance and d&b acts.

I honestly know exactly what you mean, and I'm trying to resist taking the piss. It's going to be lovely.

But what kind of wilderness retreat has:

  • Over 100,000 squashed into a couple of square miles?

  • Mobile phone coverage?

  • 24 hour cooked food outlets?

  • 24 hour lighting?

  • A shuttle bus to a train station?

  • Daily newspaper deliveries?

  • Drinking water on tap?

(I'm a bit spoiled for wilderness having had a glorious couple of weeks in a camper van in Alaska last summer - people more hardcore than me take their tents and go places that are 3 days hike from any road.)

Wilderness is a relative term I think. Widerness of no worries other than what band to see, which drink to buy, what stall sells best food to eat, of smiling people and Hundreds of Artists performing for your pleasure ;)
