I think the title says it all. As a Glasto noob what are some things I should definitely do before the weekend is up?

I suggest some/all of the below

1) See the sunrise at stone circle

2) Rave at trash city

3) See a band in the late evening in the glade

4) Have a chat and a cuppa with some of the guys in the the green fields

5) Never eat the same thing twice. Try every interesting food stall

6) Roll down the hill from the top of flagtopia

7) Don't spend too much time round your tent. If you're bored it means you're not doing enough exploring.

8) Pre plan a fancy dress night with your mates

9) Join someone elses campfire

10) If you're there on wednesday, head to the jazzworld field in mid afternoon and get slowly groggy on brothers cider and soak in the vibe.

Get there early and have a good look round the site get to know where things are, if in doubt ask someone they will be helpfull. You will not see everyone you want to, looking round the site you will soon realise that it can take a long time to get between stages. So plan what you want to see couple of bands a day if you feel you should be somewhere else go there (there will be clashes).

Go walkabout. You might find something none of us veterans have.

One thing I enjoy very much is just relaxing in the Circus tent. They do stuff in there that will blow your mind - trapeze and balancing and sword-swallowing etc. -- and I have no idea where else in Britain you could witness that stuff. Especially later in the evening when it gets less family-friendly.

Don't plan too much. I had the time to wander around the whole site on the Wednesday and Thursday last year thinking I would get that 'out of the way' in time for all the stages firing up on the Friday. But KEEP wandering the whole weekend!! Two of my most enjoyable moments were completely random - happening across the London Community Gospel Choir in the Acoustic Tent on the Sunday evening for some awesome happy-clappy singalong and sitting in the sun to watch an excellent (Canadian?) magician in the Circus Field on the Sunday afternoon (I went down there to try and get into trapeze school but it was already full B) )

My bf caught the end of the Neville Staple set in the Leftfield because he just happened to be passing and heard it but didn't know he was on - almost pee'd himself with excitment as he's quite a rude boy at heart

Don't beat yourself up too much that you won't get from, say, Jazz World to John Peel in time to catch that hot new band of the moment - there will be something more interesting just round the corner anyway.

Chill, chill, CHILL. You will have such a great time, I promise

My top 5 for n00bs would be (in no particular order):

See sunrise at Stone Circle

spend a late night losing yourself trash city and shangri-la

spend an afternoon wondering round green, circus and cabaret fields

Have a cider and laze under the flags of the Jazzworld for a couple of hours

See a headliner at the Pyramid stage
