Is Wednesday afternoon (later on) too late to arrive?

I'm travelling down from Manchester though, We could set off at six and still get there for lunch time ish i think. Hmmm....bed or good camping spot.....you can tell I'm a useless festival goer!

no, there'll always be somewhere to pitch your tent.

i arrived at 11:30pm on the thursday night in 2004 and pitched my tent in the gap my friends had kept for me (it was a mighty squeeze but i got it in there, i don't know how they kept the gap).

i'm afraid the later you arrive the further you will have to walk from your car to the gates, but you will find it easiest to get your car out on the monday so its swings and roundabouts.

oh, and if you park in the west carparks and go in pedestrian gate D there'll be loads of camping spots in paines ground, dairy ground or park home which are right next to the gate.

Yes, i thik you're right, knowing me i won't be able to sleep anyway! How easy is it to navigate which car parks to go into then?

I'm getting a train up at get to Castle Cary at 11.45am so should be at the festival around 12.30 to 1 I think? (Could someone enlighten me?) Also, then will be good for camping then?

We left Liverpool at 3 in the morning and arrived on site aprox 9 ish as there were queues for the last hour or so - my advise would be to get in as soon as you can - were getting there for 7 this year.

I'm really hoping to try and get at least a half decent spot in Park Home. I really wanted to go on Wednesday night after work and just get straight in.

However the others didn't and so we've had to compromise. We're staying at a Travelodge about an hour away. Hopefully setting off again on Thursday mornng around 7am.

Do you think it will still be possible to get a half decent spot in Park Home? I reckon we'll be there at 10am Thursday morning...
