Still haven't decided yet. It will depend on my method of travel, though the basic principle will be the same. Hunners of beers, with some wine (red/white) and possibly some Buckfast.

was thinking about taking a box of white/rose wine this year. but how heavy is it to carry when frozen?

also, do you have to empty abit out first, so it doesn't split the box? or is it best to just not freeze it at all?

awesome thread, i went on my travels after work yesterday, called into tesco, asda and morrisons...no deasl on cans of lager or cider.

i'm looking out for either 2 for £16 or 3 for £20 cans of fosters, i know i'm being picky but a few months ago i bought a crate for £12 and the next day they were 3 for £20,

i'ts bank holiday weekend coming up so maybe the supermarkets will start competing with the offers

If the blackthorns is cans then that is a pretty good deal!

I read that they have lowered its alcohol from 5% to 4.7% and made it less dry.

Has anyone tasted the new blackthorns?

Call me stupid if you like, but why would I want to lug half a ton of lukewarm lager around, when I can get Woodfordes Wherry, various ciders, or even cold lager from various outlets around the site?

You pay £170 to get in, another £30-40 to get there, surely it's worth another £100 to drink in style and not risk a hernia?

for those that drink red wine. sains have a deal on 2 types of 3ltr boxed wines. reduced to £13 from £20.

Oh yeah, I didn't spot the invitation.

In my view it's worth taking a box of red wine, or some spirits (or both) for the tent and watching bands. Beer is too heavy, and sends you to the loo too often.

If I remember correctly, last year from about June onwards, thee was a deal for 3 crates for £20 in either Tesco or Asda. So might be worth holding out.

On a separate note, BP are doing 3 bottles of wine for £10 at the moment.

I was at work today and I dont think thats quite correct I imagine a few will be 20 18 15 and 12 packs as the carlsberg we had in bulk was 18 packs same for boddingtons.

Then again there was still 3 trucks with at least 150 cages to come in overnight.

Asda have a big load of cases for £7, not sure which though as I just spotted the sign as I drove in the carpark, and couldnt go and look as I was out for work stuff. Deffo had strongbow on it, i noticed that much not sure what size.
