i have used the shuttle bus from bristol for the last 4 festivals, i recommend you pre book you tickets on the national express website. last year i went on the eariliest bus on the wednesday morning and it was extreamly busy.

if you pre book your gaurenteed a seat, if you theres no room its at least another hour wait in the bus stop.

I got the shuttle that Glasto put on from Temple Meads last year. There was a fair few people but didn't have to wait that long. It's nice and easy if you don't know Bristol and don't want to have to find the bus station. Having said that, I think the the National Express one is cheaper (I think it's a £19 return against the shuttle's £10/£12 each way (depending on which part of the Glastonbury site you believe).

Also note: You need to pay for a single each way, when you get on the coach (no bookings), so make sure you keep that much aside for after the festival. I didn't, and you don't want to know the things I had to do to get that money...

I'm planning to leave on the festival shuttle bus to Temple Meads on Monday. If I had to be at Temple Meads for a 12:00 train on Monday what time do I need to looking at getting to the festival bus station? I know the journey is about an hour but no idea what kind of queues there are on a Monday morning.

i'm driving back. but i just wanted to comment on how good value this is compared to gettign back from other festivals :(

when i went to reading fest in 2007 a nromal coach back (not organised by the the festival) to leicester, was £12. the next year national express decided to cash in and raised the price of the coach to £48.

so i got a taxi to a nearby coach station. got a £5 funfare to london and then a £5 funfare back to leicester.

WINNER!

Fair play, if you have a long way to go from Bristol then it does make a big difference on the old wallet. 6am was an exaggeration (I'm guessing people realised that but just to be on the safe side) but I would advise going as early as possible, I had huge queues last year (though as I recall we were in no rush and probably about middayish so could be that it's just the busiest time of day) but again some of the queues to other places made it look tiny in comparison. It's just that if it was me I'd be sat there worrying about missing the train (with the advance ones there's no refund if you miss it).

Good luck whatever you decide dude.
