ukslim
I don't think the Eavises would book someone known for glamourising gun violence and misogyny, not to mention being a pornographer.

ampersand
Why pick on Dizzy?? Songs that concern guns and violence are not necessarily ones that glamourize the subject matter. Can you tell me which ones of Dizzy's do? Funny that you singled him out and not say, Glasvegas, who have songs with violent content?? The Nal
Saw him a few years back, was funny for about 10 minutes and then the novelty wore off.
ukslim
bonkers is 'something something sex and violence, a heavy bassline is my kinda silence'. hopefully someone will be able to tell me the words im missing. he's got another song with the chorus 'all i see is hype' which im sure at some point ticks all the boxes for guns and ho's. rosstopher
I don't think there have been similar. There's songs *about* violence that don't *glamourise* violence. There's 'fantasy' songs about violence which are cathartic but don't relate to real life (lots of Johnny Cash songs, for example). Then there's "I grew up in a gang, I am now a pimp, if you mess with me I will have you killed, and if you've any sense you'll aspire to my lifestyle". Which is a different thing altogether. Chickenburger
forget snoop dog, the biggest mistake glasto made was doing a calvin harris and shooting their bolt to early and booking jay z for the hip hop experiment. they could fo waited a year and got Dr Dre headlining with his new album out, now that would of been phat! Pauljoanss
Sorry, I know I am a boring old f... but is it not about time that everyone accepted once and for all that Glasto is not a suitable place for rap. It doesn't matter if you like it or not, Glasto and rap are not easy bedfellows. If you want to listen to rap then go to a rap concert. American style rap comes from the worst excesses of inner city streets and has no place on a dairy farm in Somerset.

Chickenburger
i would say american rap is more of a white middle class music in england so would fit perfectly with the glastonbury crowd.
