That simply isn't true. Although most people have probably glimpsed some, lots and lots of people don't seek it out, and would prefer it not to exist. (Not, incidentally, me.)

Michael Eavis is a fairly dedicated Methodist, and generally a right-on wooly liberal type (in the best possible sense). Obviously I can't speak on his behalf, but I strongly suspect he is opposed to porn.

Now, I personally am *not* against porn in general. But I've seen Doggystyle, and it's the 'bad sort' of porn. This isn't two people having mutually pleasing sex. Nor is it a women who get a kick out of group sex. It's women who've been subjugated to the extent that they'll go along with being used as playthings, for the enjoyment of people who enjoy that kind of dehumanising abuse. Next to Snoop's swimming pool.

This really isn't Eavis' style.

I highly doubt Michael Eavis has a clue about that video, I had no idea about it til you showed me and I'm guessing ME doesn't use the internet for researching about rapper's music videos.

Anyway, you're making it out as if Michael Eavis books the acts. He doesn't. He is involved in booking the headliners and maybe some of the other high up acts, but its Emily Eavis and the stage bookers who will book the rest of the lineup. If Snoop Dogg were to be booked, it wouldn't be by Michael.

They've had 3 other top 10s in the UK charts other than Hey Ya!, plus most of OutKast's music has crossover appeal. I think OutKast would go down pretty well (unless they are terrible live? I've never seen them so can't comment).

lol...I remember that. My old boss was going on the same flight for a business trip and saw him getting turned away. He came back in telling me all about how he saw Snoop Dogg. He didn't really know who he was though!

But how many casuals could name the other three hits? I had to look them up, and I own the album. Which is now 6 years old, by the way.

People would probably enjoy the Andre 3000 party stuff, but Big Boi's more beats and rhymes oriented stuff is really more for the dedicated b-boy, of which there aren't many at Glasto.

im begining to feel there is alot of ignorance where new music is concerned in this forum..

hip hop does not glamorise guns and violence, fair play a few mc's possibly do but if you look at the roots of the music genre its not about that there is no guns hoes and bitches in the four elements!!! but this is irrelivant anyway. some one made a comment about glasvegas who sings about basicly being a boy growing up in glasgow and much of the topics in their music is similar to the topics you would find in hip hop, its jus a observation on your generation so it is a very valid genre of music.

could you not say that other music has glamorised guns and violence indirectly clapton cocain for example, the amoung of guns and violence to bring drugs into this country but yet that seems to be alright in here ???

i have read numerous threads about drug use and no one harshly replys to these but the mention of hip hop and its chaos!!!

amy winehouse, pet doc, east 17 (and the E incident lol) a good percentage of the performers are not what you would call clean cut but yet hip hop is the only one genre to be attacked.

i dont prefere one type of music over another i just think its crazy picking on one and not another..

oh and telling some one that they are 17 so they dont no anything wtf... i say he is very entitled to an opinion. how old were you when you began going to glastonbury.

i feel that the festival will die out if it doesnt embrace new music to keep the festival vibrant and attracting more young people.

just my humble opinion..
