Big Surprise in Line Up Announcement

Guest ThomThomDrum

So we know the Pyramid Headliners and the organisers have confirmed a fair few more acts also on top of this.......also with the Rumours on Efestivals and other sites like the Gorge and ###### does anybody realistically think that when the line up is announced there will be any major surprises???

I mean will any "Major or Big" act to play have gone without notice or letting it slip out till now?

What do people think/believe?

I think the Pixies are a possibility.

They're playing IOW, Hurricane and Southside, and somewhere in Athens. They've said they're playing 14 European dates overall but the rest haven't been released (as far as I know).

And there doesn't seem to be any other UK line-up with a space to slot them in, given that they'll be 2nd from top (based on their IOW placing, where they are below Neil Young).

if the Friday Pyramid is:

Neil Young

Pixies

The Specials

Lily Allen

Fleet Foxes

Dizzee Rascal

I'll pizz in my jants!

i think there's a very big chance that someone who hasn't even been mentioned or rumoured might play.

Im guessing that there will be a BIG name added to the bill that hasnt been mentioned or rumored, not another headliner but someone that everyone knows and thinks... ohh yeahhhh... why didnt we think of them...

only a week to find out now :P

I think I know who one of the artists is and you will all poo your pants if it is true!

What happened to the Fleetwood Mac rumours that were rife here a couple of months ago?

I think that surely there are some big surprises to be announced. The lineup seems very 'top heavy' with great headliners, not only on pyramid but at other places (Other, John Peel, Park...) but seems to be missing quality second-or-third from top bands. I mean, if Elvis Costello (a past headliner) could only get a 4th from top spot back in 2005, what are The Specials doing way up in the second slot behind Neil Young, if current rumours are to be believed?

who's going to get the penultimate slot before Blur? will it be the Kaisers again, or is there a bigger 'surprise' out there? hopefully Madness are in the late afternoon...

additions that would make for a nice surprise and which haven't made the efests list!

DYLAN...he kicks off his US stadium tour July 1, so why not a gig the week before at Glastonbury.

JOOLS HOLLAND...he has a series of Saturday shows. am surprised he hasn't been rumoured, while Squeeze has

VAN MORRISON....why not? make him a 'regular' again at Glasto. He'd be better than Grace Jones or Tom Jones

YEAH YEAH YEAHS ... only T in the Park, and Oxygen confirmed, so no English festivals or dates yet, surely Glasto on the Sunday (their only available day)

BEN HARPER...on the sunday

THE WATERBOYS...whatever happened to Mike Scott saying they'd play every year?!?!

STEREO(bores)PHONICS...ugh...i worry they might be added.

plus...The Hold Steady, Silversun Pickups
