They'll have paid a huge amount. I had dealings with the same company over the redesign of efests, but at first basic draft it was VERY clear that they took no notice of the design spec they were talked thru, and would have created me an inferior website because they took no time to try to understand the brief. So I sacked them off.

back on topic though... it looks a bit shite. i like the top bit but as there is no info it does take up quite a bit of room. When it gets down to the tiled grass background its horrendous.

various parts still aren't working like 'click here' links and some of the areas bits (eg greenfields). pages seem to take an eon to load as well.

Some of the initial comments seem a bit harsh to me and I reckon it will be worth taking a bit of time to get used to it. I have to say that I was not a big fan of the new efestivals site at first but I have since grown to quite like it.

My first impression is that it's okay. Nothing spectacular but some good bits to it. Some stuff I would have done differentlty but we all have our own taste. Personally I think that the patchwork-type field images work well and give it a different feel. It's got a rough and ready rustic sort of feel to it which doesn't look corporate or too slick. My guess is that's exactly what they were looking for.

I like it. Massive improvement on the old site and very user friendly (Except for some early teething errors).

I also like the background design, it's different, plus the use of loads more pictures is a good idea.

I kinda like it, I don't like the grass down the sides when you scroll down but other than that its an improvement. That said I don't think I would use it as my own site.

I'm looking at it now, a bit off it, and TBH it's great. Quite unlike any other website in many ways, and evocative of the unlike any other festival it is trying to evoke.
