Unlikely, the people who dislike The 1975 are so entrenched in their viewpoint I suspect the majority wouldn't even admit it if the band did impress them. They've become the "cool to hate" band of the 2010s, as this forum so often proves. 

Yeah - she's not going to put a foot wrong.  It's hers to boot the ball into the goal.

In honesty, if you're not really into either it might not be as great a "turn on" for many as you'd expect. I dont mind the 1975 but wont be watching and i love the two O'Rod albums but cant see much of the "older generation" getting too excited   I personally think that if people come in with no preconception - O'Rod will win over more neutral viewers. Her performances and songs are top level.
