If Ronda does fight Cyborg id guess it would be above 135. If Ronda moved up for a fight, she would have 5 pounds of muscle she could add, or even just an easier cut. For Cyborg to go down to 140 or 135, it would take more out of her. Ronda knows she is the best in the world, and as soon as the UFC pay her enough to prove she is the best in the world the fight will happen. If the UFC dont make the fight happen I could see Ronda doing more and more films and do what Dwayne Johnson does, more films and go back to where their name was made every now and then when there is a big fight/money to be made. Cyborg would just be another name to add to Ronda's list, if Ronda thought Cyborgs stand up was too much she would just take her down and rip that arm off.

Just seen that Dana claimed Ronda-Cyborg could do 2.5 million buys. If the stars aligned and it was Ronda-Cyborg as co-main, and Conor defending against Aldo headlining for UFC 200, now THAT would be close to 2.5m buys. Ronda-Cyborg would be big but not sure it would be that big. Here to be proven wrong, hope we see it within the next year

people seem to be completely disregarding that Cyborg is a known steroid abuser. Using PED's in baseball means you can pitch harder and hit the ball further. When you are fighting, you can hit people in the head harder, with a potential for very serious injury, and later brain trauma.

When you choose to do PEDs, whatever they may be, don't be surprised when a clean athlete doesnt want to fight you. Many people support GSP on this stance, why would Ronda not be afforded the same luxury.

Cyborg falls down on 2 counts - the PED's and the weight. Even at catchweight, the PED's are still a problem.

Is she still on steroids now though? With the new policy in place surely she will get caught if that is the case.

It doesn't really matter, the muscle mass was gained as a result of steroid abuse, and her past use already puts her in the "questionable" column. And besides, she wouldn't necessarily have been who she is today if she had remained "clean", she could have lost most of her fights and left the sport by now. Her legend was built on PED's.

As I said, GSP holds strong views on the matter, some of which he still hasnt revealed. MMA was a big payday for him, and whilst I know he made some serious cash, to just walk away like he did is not something you do without good reason.

People bashing RR are being unfair. she has no point to prove, as the rest of the 135'ers will attest. she has beaten everyone they put in front of her, its not her job to move the goalposts to prove herself further, especially if doing so could harm her legacy.

Everyone wants/wanted GSP v Anderson. It never happened, and looks unlikely. Doesnt mean GSP deserves to be criticised for never having beaten Silva, and vice versa. Silva is a little odd to cite due to his recent situation, but there you go.

No I had it right the first time :P Conor and Aldo will meet before UFC 200 presumably, above December is mentioned, so the rematch (After Conor wins the title) could be set for months further down the line, ie June-July time for UFC 200. Just what I see happening, but thanks for your input. What do you see the timeline of everything happening?

Ronda apparently wants Cyborg, but only at 135 pounds so that it would be her weight and be for the title. If Ronda fought at 140 and lost, she could go back down to 135 and still have her title. Dana wouldnt make her drop the title for one superfight. If the fight happens I would prefer to see it at 135, but if 140 is the only way it happens then its a compromise I, along with many others, would be happy to take. Ronda could beat Cyborg at Cyborgs 145lb weight IMO.

If Ronda believes in her skills and abilities, and wants to push herself she could go out of her weightclass once she has cleaned through it for a second or third time. Anderson took fights above his weightclass and then moved back down and continued his legacy, so Ronda could too. I think a lot people would watch regardless of weight or if its for the title.

I'd definitely want to see the fight btw. Take any fighter out of their comfort zone though and it proves nothing. If both camps decide to never take the fight, it's the right decision.

Ronda is good enough to have a larger comfort zone than just the 135lb division. She has all but cleared out 135, so taking a superfight to prove she can beat any woman in the world, and gaining respect and answering any questions anyone would ever have. If she went up to 140 for a fight, and took a bit of time off for another film (or wwe appearance) it could give Holm and others time to hone their skills and maybe push Ronda into the second half of the first round. Going out of the comfort zone isn't always a bad thing IMO

Coming from Tito, this could be taken with a pinch of salt but it could be a step in the right direction if its true

Edit (the day after): Dana denies offering Cyborg any fight with Ronda, but Cyborg still claims a UFC rep offered her the fight

UFC talking about coming and putting on a PPV at the O2 in the first half of 2016,esespecially seeing as the tube will be running later so they can still stage it on American times.

They did also say though that if McGregor is champ he would have a say so it could be at Croke Park.

They are talking like Conor could be to them what Tiger Woods was to golf when he first came around.

All in today's Sun.

Its believable that they would put a PPV on at the O2. Dont quite know about having it on American time though, but they could maybe start the main event at around 1am and just have the event a few hours behind normal USA times. Joanna Jędrzejczyk is the only champion I could see the UFC wanting to put over here, until Conor is the undisputed champion and fights in Ireland. Wembley could even be a possibility for a future conor fight if he goes the way the UFC are hoping. I haven't ever been to a UFC event but I would try get tickets to that. Irish fans wouldnt have far to travel so it could sell well, depending on the fight.

Id say Ronda is more the Tiger Woods of MMA for the UFC, she has brought a lot of people in to the sport just as Tiger did for golf, but Conor isnt too far off in my opinion.

A main card start at 1am would be fine, some shows in the states start at that time depending on  time zone,  for example Dillashw/Barao in Chicago a few weeks ago.

UFC 190 did the highest PPV numbers since UFC 168 (that had Silva/Weidman and Rousey/Tate) so I think it's fair to say Rousey is the biggest star they have, considering it wasn't a stacked card or a threatening challenger. Rousey and Conor on the same card will be very good business.

Obviously UFC would have a European headline if possible but the way the article was written suggests they see Britain in particular as a key market for expansion so wouldn't surprise me to see them just put on a top heavy strong card at the O2 if McGregor doesn't pan out.Certainly if they went Wembley route it would need to be a strong card.I mean, that's got to be a good 80,000?I couldn't see that selling out without a very strong card.

Yeah Wembley would be 70,000 plus, so it would need to be a huge card. Even the O2 would have to be a pretty strong card, Bisping headlining wouldnt cut it.

They would sell out 80,000 in Croke Park. But as Dana said, it'll rain!

Aldo vs McGregor December 12th in Vegas then.

I think it would sell out Croke park easy, a lot of Americans would probably make the travel as well. Yeah it could rain, but the UFC could find a way of covering the octagon and VIP seats to allow the fight to happen.

Just seen the McGregor-Aldo announcement with the MGM apparently moving heaven and earth to get the fight and thats why its not going to be in Texas. This was the UFC's chance to set a new gate and attendance record, and at the MGM they could still do gate but the attendance wont top Canada. Hope the card is strong, a heavyweight title fight could be on there, or Ronda even though the reports dont mention her being on the card yet.

I can't wait for it but refuse to get excited right now incase it doesn't happen. It's four months away and look at how many fights end up not happening.

True, even worse when you think how many fights Aldo pulled out of. McGregor wont be pulling out, so hopefully it goes ahead as planned. I dont think it will go the full 5 rounds, and as much as I want to see McGregor win, Aldo could finish him on the ground, either sub or ground and pound if it goes there. Both have great kicks and striking, but McGregor to take the title home. The build up will be just as intense as the last time
