Madstock (The Specials?)

Just wondering what the chances are that The Specials will be announced for Madstock.

yes this was my initial thought....after they announced that they would play with 'special' guests, i was convinced that it would be the specials.

A friend of mine then convinced me that it wouldnt be, as they would probably play their own gig and not be somebodys support act.

Now if the specials do end up playing i will be extremley annoyed....im going to see them at Norwich showground instead.....Aswad are supporting there and theres no other mention of special guests on the other gigs.

At Nottingham the Special Guests are The Pogues which is pretty damn good methinks!

Was gutted about this too. only really got the Madstock tickets as led to believe the Specials would be there, would have seen Madness on one of their smaller gigs otherwise. Think a lot of people aren't happy about this as 'special guests' was defininately a very misleading quote and one which probably sold them a lot more tickets.. Still, third stage still to be announced (when when when though?) so you never know, might just be special yet...
