Destroyed tickets

Hey there people,

Well, my tale of woe goes like this. My gf got the tickets delivered to her work last Wednesday but she never received them from the office receptionist and on Thursday evening the cleaners at her office put them into the recycling bin. She only discovered all of this y'day evening

I think I know that our planned summer of festival fun now looks doomed but if anyone has any advice at all it would be muchly appreciated.

Thanks from a sad man at work ;)

The stealing thing seemed possible to me as well, but my gf spoke to them y'day evening and was told that if it was left out in plain sight then they would have assumed it to be for the recycling.

She intends to contact them today with our story but I do not hold out a great deal of hope for them giving us any positives.

I'll post an update once they reply. Thanks guys.

I'm afraid to say that once tickets have been safely delivered to their destination, anything that happens to them after that is your problem, not seetickets' /glastonbury's. I say this from experience because in 2007 our tickets went missing in the post when our friend forwarded them on by special delivery. Seetickets and glastonbury didnt do anything for us and we ended up not being able to get in.

Definitely get on to them and see if theres anything they can do, with a few weeks left they might be able to issue replacements but to be realistic i doubt it. As they arrived and were signed for its out of their hands so to speak ;)

Good luck and i really hope you can sort something out!

I know of a company in Leeds that were suffering things going missing , someone I know left his

i-pod at work , he was in the following morning crack of dawn , but it had gone.

The troubles only stopped when cleaning company were given the boot , after lots of staff complained

to managment !!

Cleaners stealing is down to people wanting to pay next to nothing to their services. Add to thsi the likely hood that most are short term employee's

You get a good cleaner keep hold of them

I hope see reissue your tickets.

Long shot have you tried your home insurance. You may not get entry but they may cover the loss depends on the cover really.

Yeah, the receptionist at the office signed for them. She's just about to ring them so hopefully I'll know definitively either way soon enough but I think I'm hoping for a miracle.

Thanks though to everyone who has replied thus far for taking the time to try and help, it is much appreciated.

OK

So she rang them to explain what had happened and because she hadn't received the tickets and she is sure that they were destroyed SeeTickets have advised that they will not reissue tickets but we can pick them up from the box office on the opening day of the festival.

Has anyone ever heard of them being so ammenable over this kind of thing? From what I had heard from other forums and discussions it seemed doomed but apparently they were very understanding and resolved the issue fairly promptly.

So now I just have the anxious wait for a few weeks while we wait and see what happens.

Great news! We had to collect six tickets from a collection point at Castle Cary one year, when they'd gone astray- they never turned up, were delivered to the wrong house and signed for but then returned to See if I recall, it all took ages to sort out but sure enough there were six tickets waiting for us. It was a bit nerve wracking queing up, as we'd driven several hundred miles and couldn't be certain until they were in our hot little hands.
