Yeah it's definately possible. I remember in my first time at Glatonbury in '03 I saw a woman in her fifties walking along with a bunch of teenage lads. She was wearing a really tight vest top, tiny tiny skirt and thigh high PVC boots with heels that must have been around 4 inchs high. She wasn't walking very daintily or anything but even in the grass she seemed to manage ok!

However saying that the ground on site is very uneven and its really easy to twist your ankle so the best thing to wear is something that would support your ankle like a pair of walking boots.

thank you! i'm definately taking my wellies (which still need cleaning after last year!) just thought my boots are so comfy would be better if i can wear them for a few days!

I loved V last year but i'm expecting to think it was awful compared to how glasto will be!

Personally I'd steer clear of wellies. I've seen a few people get them stuck in the mud ending up on their backsides - not v pleasant. Walking boots have served me well for the last four Glastos and two V's(and four of those have been very muddy!!)

Glasto has special mud, wellies are like 4 wheel drive on it, boots, trainers or whatever get you nowehere when the rain comes, and you will lose them lol Te ground is pretty uneven too, you'll see tons of girls with twisted ankles

V is ok, but it's a bit generic and sooo expensive, the security seem to come from some SS camp too ! The fact that the camp site and stages all merge into one was the first thing that blew me away after going to V for so long - you can drink your own beer wooh hoo ;)

I usually find that proper walking boots are best. However, in 2007 the mud came up over the top of them and I had to go and buy some wellies on site. Whatever your choice, try wearing two pairs of socks as this'll prevent you getting blisters, no matter how many miles you trek each day from stage to stage.

Last year I had walking boots (and gaiters), converse and flip flops.

This year I've inherited my sons very boring black wellie's, which I wear for walking t'dog. I know I can walk for hours in them and they fit me like a glove. And if it is a shit one (which it won't be!!!) I will be able to take them off with ease, rather than getting my hands covered in christ knows what whilst undoing the gaiters and laces!!!

So (man I like to draw things out!!!), this year I shall be taking wellie's (albeit boring and black), converse (probably my crappy green ones) and flip flops :)

walking boots. get some cheap ones for a tenner from Decathlon. I had two pairs and swapped when they got muddy and let them dry out for a day.

Taking Crocs as well this year. not the best fashion but theyre waterproof and you can hose them and your feet down. They should be great except if the mud gets to the levels of '05 and '07

I'm going down the route of boots and trainers - I got some ex army boots from an Army Surplus place which are waterproof so should be fine! I've redone the dubbing too! I went with wellies last year and they did keep my feet dry but they also kept coming off in the mud and made my feet and legs really sweaty when it got warm! Not pleasant!
