JakeBoz
Jamie T, Gogol Bordello, Empire of the Sun and Ladyhawke sound good to suggestions to me What about Bombay Bicycle Club, Art Brut or Passion Pit? The Rumble Strips, Young Knives and The Cribs are all meant to be having new material this year - they could be interesting. fatneale
How about The Duckworth Lewis Method? Anything involving Neil Hannon is going to be good!
onykahonie
I'm pretty sure The Noisettes have pulled out. Signed by a major and being whisked off to the States as I understand it. Edited June 24, 2009 by onykahonie

andyblack
Good news she's great live ... bad news she's touring in the USA during August!
Unihammer
What about some cheesy dink like shed seven they are playing belladrum the week before. Or hows about It Hugs Back they have a severe lack of festivals dates considering they released an awesome album. I'll echo a request for It hugs back. Saw them recently supporting Holy f**k. Very enjoyable in a Yo la tengo, Eleventh dream day sort of way. I'm not usually an advocate of bands returning, but Brakes have an excellent album out at the moment, as have Camera Obscura for that matter. andyblack
Here's another thought. Howabout That Petrol Emotion. They're out on tour next week and playing a couple of festivals
Ed Leaf
Yes. There's me and there's Unihammer. They play the Rescue Rooms in a couple of weeks. I need a pass out from the F.P.O. God, it'd be awful if they got the nod and the NEDs didn't Andy Edited June 25, 2009 by Ed Leaf

andyblack
apologies.i didnt mean to seem a musical snob at all.i really liked the petrols but theyre seemingly one of those great bands completely passed by time, like the mock turtles or the frank and walters or pwei. And eddie surely the neds probably arent that suited to ssw, like pwei wouldnt be?. Mike : thursdays best for me? jay.v
Well you can't go on about Neds and PWEI and not mention the wonder sruff. If anyones seen them or miles hunt solo recently, they still put on a cracking gig.
