never going to happen. Download used to be 2 days now its 3 and t in the park used to be 2 now that nearly 3 days and I think v missed a trick there.

but imagine what the lineup would be like this year with the "big" names spread over 3 days.

personally speaking I hate the 2 day festival as you get used to the settigns and relaxed and its time to come home again, and there isnt ee early camping this year. Im going to leeds festival ths year and im of on the wednesday and makes it a mini holiday.

a few years ago I would have crawled over broken glass to get an extra day...but given that they'd probably just spread an already thin line up over the extra day, it would just seem like prolonging the agony...as a Scottish mate of mine once said ''You cannae take the knickers off a bare arse...''

V had a good lineup last year and I would have loved the extra day and put Kings Of Leon on as the third headliner then Winehouse, Lostprophets (crap but still download headliners) etc subheadlining.

Reading is dreadful early on in many respects however i'm willing to put up with this as the 3 headliners are far 2 worthy of subheadlining meaning they can draw big names, something V misses out on due to only 2 slots to fill.

In its present format V is the only 2 day 2 location festival, why should they change a winning formula???

In stating winning formula I mean a major music festival which regurlaly sells out, that has to be successful. A 3 day festival will add at least another 3rd on to the ticket price..... At least!!!

So how can we get their interest to make them see we want a 3 day fest?

Text the screen during intervals n get them displayed on the big screen?

Looking forward to V this year so not complaining but imagine the line up we have spread over 3 days. Granted we would have a bigger act bookd to headline the 3rd day but money wise it would weaken the line up further. Been a V goer since 2005 but on the whole its got weaker every year, an additional day would water down the acts further and make for a weaker line up

A third day would be good if they'd pull their fingers out and not book lazily. I've seen most of the bands I'd be interested in at V 07, so there's little to grab me. Oasis can be hit and miss, The Killers were nothing special in 07. I'd dread to think who we'd get as a third day headliner based on this year's line-up

But selling out all the tickets whether to touts or not is a success to the organisers, do you really think they give a shit who buys their tickets???

V like any other festival apart from Glasto is a commercial enterprise, purely run for profit.

T did add an extra day, I think this is only for camping ticket holders although I may be wrong.

Anyone who thinks V are going to add an extra day without incurring extra cost is living in dreamland, hey they tried an extra day last year with no entertainment & charged an extra £10 for the privelege, notice they are not doing it this year??? Yes it was not a money maker.

to put on just a 3rd headliner is going to cost many £100s000s, never mind an undercard for all the other stages, tickets would have to increase by at least £60 to cover this cost, never mind infrastructure costs...

I would love them to add an extra day I love 3 day or longer festivals, but as it is at the moment V do not need to provide an extra day.

They couldnt do it this year because most festivals are struggling to find decent bands too fill up 3 days. But maybe in the future they could and theme the days like Reading and Dload do.

You could have your more pop/rap/dance music day, indie/rock sort of day and then maybe a blast from the past day.

Would mean you can still sell a load of weekend tickets but a stack of day tickets on top of that as well.
