How to deal with a hot tent?

I had a tent with two doors for the last few years, and it was great for getting the air in. When you woke up in the morning, the "back door" was right behind your head, so you could unzip it and be looking up at the sky a lot quicker than having to do that first terrible situp of the morning to get to the front door.

This year my tent's bigger but doesn't have a back door. I think I'm going to miss it if it gets warm. Mind you, give me too warm in the tent over too wet outside it every time.

Considering some of us don't tend to get back to the tent till about eight am that wouldn't help a great deal unless we wanted to start the day with about two hours sleep.

Just out of curiosity what time do you usually tend to call it a night? The best part of Glasto starts after the main stages shut so I need a good lie in during the day to keep going.

I can fully recommend the two door tent. It lets the breeze through nicely and stops the sauna effect. Of course if you sleep at night then it doesn't matter too much. One year I got back at about 8am or so, went to sleep for a bit and woke up at about 10am. No water in the tent and too hot/exhausted/dehydrated to physically move out of the tent, just lying in a horrible puddle of sweat getting more hot/exhausted/dehydrated. Thankfully I've not had that problem since my two door tent.

I'm using space blankets and bulldog clips.

It works.

If I am on an all night bender I do like to listen to my body and get some kip afterwards.

I dare not crash out and 'sun bathe', I'm parts scots ginger, part aboriginal, so I get larger darker freckles and the rest of me burns like a scots ginger! Sun burn is bad enough, when your sun burn is like crazy pathing in negetive!
