Wheelbarrows?

Hey guys,

Is a wheelbarrow a good idea for transporting everything from the car to the camp site?

I remember last year, I really struggled carrying everything and I'm sure I saw people with wheelbarrows making it look so much easier.

My friends all disagree though, they say it would be too difficult to control a wheelbarrow and it will jsut keep tipping over

Has anyone else used one or have any other ideas on what to use?

I've seen people with barrows and wondered what it's like - got to be better than carrying stuff!! How about a sack truck? Look for the 'off my trolley' thread on chat for lots of ideas.

A wheelbarrow's god's way of telling you you're taking too much stuff.

yes wheel barrows can tip over easily but just have a bit of practice with it; you don't see builders spilling rubble all over the place coz their barrow tipped over.

just keep your arms straight and elbows locked. and lift with your knees not your back.

Might have to put the boy in charge of the barrow, my noodle arms would drop off with the weight of his beer!!

wheelbarrows are the rolls royce of festival equipment carriers!

DO NOT lock your elbows,just a slight bend in them.Use your muscles i have bingo baggies.

Anyway i always take a wheelbarrow and its never tipped over.Big bouncy tyre type is the best.

Wheelbarrows are fantastic.

Wheelbarrows can, and will, tip over. Go for a trolley with big tyres.

we were thinking originally of taking a wheelbarrow but where do you put after you have unloaded all of your stuff because it would quickly fill up a rather small tent!

put it in the free lockups, there's loads of them around the site, marked with a keyhole on the map.

I will be taking my Wheelbarrow this year, east to carry stuff, and makes a very good chair for your time near the tent!!

thought that this might help you out they were first tried this year at Download and were a huge sucsess someone managed 6 crates of beer!!

I took a wheelbarrow for the last 2 years and I wouldnt even try and attempt it without one, so much easier.

Strap a few bungi cords around it and your fine.
