First Great Western

I have been having an exchange of e-mail with First Great Western regarding the time of the first train to London from Catle Cary on monday June 29. They inform me that the first train is @ 06.38 and not earlier as has been the case in previous years. Last year the first train @ 05.15 was absolutely rammed and I expect this to be even worse this time around.

You'd think that First Great Western would be wise to this wouldn't you?

Nothing GREAT about them...scheisters! ALTHOUGH...am travelling to West Country from East Sussex for only £16.50 on Sat...so not all bad..and sat at same table as mate despite booking seperately.

Just had a check with National Rail. Both you and First are correct in a way. There is a train to Bristol Temple Meads at 5.15am where you will have to change for a train to Paddington - Arrive 8.14am.

However, the first direct train from CC to Pad. is 6.38am - Arrive 8.38am
