Bar opening times

Have just been reading the thread about first things to do when on site and something occured to me.

Was hoping to get there at opening on the Wednesday, pitch the tent and wander off for a couple of cold ones.

Does anybody know what time the Brothers Bar or any of the other Alehouses open? Can see myself having to wait a good couple of hours for refereshment as it is and that's not good.

The Brother's Bar has always been open by the time I've got to it on the Wednesday at about midday. You should be fine.

We always adopt the ritual of set up tent, sit down, open a can, smoke a herbal cigarette (ahem), smile a bit cos we're at the best party ever and then head off for some pear cider!

Some of the main bars open at 11am (I think it is from memory), some open later on in the afternoon, some not until Thursday.

By the time I'm onsite, camps up, some of the bars will be open anyway. I've never worried about it!

Take a case of booze, that way you can drink whilst trekking on to site, whilst putting up the tent (one year it was inside out & we didn't realise til the Saturday), & as emergency supplies between bars
