Glastonbury after recent heart operation

Another update.

For those who are concerned.

I don't think I mentioned it was a minor heart attack. As my GP has pointed out, I am probably at

less risk of having an incident at this years festival now that I have had the surgery and am

taking lots of drugs, than if I hadn't. I can walk further every day and am quite amazed at how

quickly I am recovering, considering I only had the surgery on Thursday.

It is just the carrying stuff (and the increasing reports of rain) that is a slight niggling

worry, but I have friends with me who have a trailer on wheels thing, and although I know they are

extremely p****d off at maybe having to do the extra journey back to the car, they have said they

will help me out, and if the disabled access comes through, that won't be far to go I think. (As I type postman has arrived, access hasn't, may have to delay leaving by a couple of hours tomorrow).

Obviously I won't be doing the purposeful march type walk, don't want to miss anything that might

be happening this year type thing, or buying chainsawed tree trunk sculptures of dolphins to lug

back home, but I will still be there!!!

Have a good one.

Fantastic, thank you for asking.

The whole field dancing to Madness would be a tonic for any ailment I reckon.

Despite the correct passes not arriving, we were allowed to park in the disabled car parking, use the minibus in and out, and camped in the disabled facilities.

Without the assistance of the my mates & Disabled Camping Crew, I really do not think I would have got in or out, so a big shout of thanks to them.

I think I may have overdone the walking a tad though. It was not as easy to take it easy as I thought it might have been. I was also lucky enough to be back in my tent for both of the storms (Thursday & Sunday nights). I had a great fold out seat type thing that also doubled as a walking stick which was a great help.
