Pedestrian gates

I am hoping to camp in dairy ground so think pedestrian gate d is the best one to go through to get there, getting a bit confused though as i keep hearing people say you need to go down certain roads to get to the gate you want to. Im going to head down the A361 to get to the west car parks, is this all i need to do and then just walk to PGD or do I need to take a particular route? :)
