Chrispylondon
Hi Am driving down arriving Thursday morning, from the east along the A361. Will I automatically get directed in to the East car parks? I want to park and camp on the West side and dont want to divert too far. Any advice welcome! Chrispylondon
Ordinarily yes, but it's quite possible that on arrival in Shepton Mallett, road stewards will force traffic towards the east car parks. That's the quesion I believe. Yes, that is my fear, think that is what happened 2 years a go and ended up walking about 2 miles with all our kit to get to the West side where our friend were camped. Oh well, 10 mile detour doesn't seem too bad. Thanks for the help.

magicstar
Like I said earlier, if you want details of how to get to West from the A303, I can post them up or PM me. I am of course assuming you're coming via the 303.
Chrispylondon
Hi Not coming down the A303, will be coming down the A361 from Trowbridge. But thanks anyway!
timespeedsup
Hey, those directions would be useful to me too please! Thanks
kinglewi
Got the same problem although were not gonna go the A303 way, gonna head m4 then A37 from bristol, unless anyone else here recommends the A303 as both routes are roughly the same distance for me. But would i still take the route to the west car parks from wells etc that was posted earlier?

Kelly
Here we go, as original posted by someone called Tuska on here between the 07 and 08 Glastos, and found to work fine by me last year: "For the last 3 years i have used the following route to the west car parks, its worked every time. M3 to Basingstoke (Junction . Pick up A303. A303 all the way down past Wincanton to the junction with A37. North on A37 to B3153. Left onto B3153 to Keinton Mandeville. Right onto backroads to Baltonsborough and then onto West Pennard. (small roads but well signposted). You can then turn right onto the A361 which brings you into the west carparks." Now in fairness I went via Ham Street instead of Baltonsborough, but the principle is there.
