briddj
Hi everyone. The Glasto site says there is a space for a car on your plot in the campervan field. But does this only apply to caravans? Or can you park a car next to a campervan? It's just that half of us are arriving in the campervan and half in a car. On original reading of the campervan info we presumed it meant there's a space for a car for all plots. Now we're not so sure! Can someone clear up what the rules is with regards to cars in there? Will have to head for a carpark otherwise and it would be good to know the situation beforehand. Thanks. ChopperChimp
It depends what passes you have. You probably won't be able to take the car into that field unless it's towing a caravan and has the right pass. Chances are you've just got a car park pass for the car, so will have to park in the main car parks.
briddj
We've obviously got the campervan pass itself. We also bought a seperate parking ticket just in case. Don't want to both driving down the blue route if we are told the car cannot go in that part.

briddj
Oh right, so we can still drive down the blue route behind the camper van but they will just direct us to one of the carparks as you mention on that right side? Was not sure if blue route was for campervans etc only.
ChopperChimp
Take a look at the bottom right of this map, you'll see two blue roots one for cars, one for campers, they're's split off up the road. The trick would be to come towards the site on the A37 near the village of Pylle. http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrismou/3466219649/sizes/o/ Happy Camping! Octave Doctor
You may get away with it if you tow the camper in with your car and say the camper is a caravan...or a trailer tent...

_danny_
if it's the same as last year, you won't be able to get the car into the campervan field. last year, we had half of us in a campervan and half in a car (doing the same this year). we loaded all the stuff into the campervan, and that went off and parked in the field, then called to tell us where. meanwhile, we parked up in the car park and walked over to the campervan. simples. you do get a space beside your campervan, but thats for awnings, wind breakers, gazebos, tents, etc. not cars.
