Slane Castle is a bloody shambles!

Hi

Anybody experience the shambles that was the Oasis Gig at Slane on Saturday?

Oasis were superb, best performance yet, but complete shambles in the organisation:

arrived at Slane at four, and took us until half six to get in due to massive trek and obscene queue through the forest with about four folk checking tickets. gutted cause i missed Kasabian

Don't know if it was quicker going through Slane, but we all seemend to be directed through the forest.

Once inside, could only see two bars( over hour wait in beer queue), which is an absolute joke for a venue and crowd that size.

best was yet to come, got back to bus(back to Dublin) at eleven, then sat there till 3am this morning.

anybody know what the hold up with buses was? feck knows why there wasn't stewards there directing folks onto the buses.

each part of your thread has the same answer its called a vast crowd. what u expect to get out of the car parks in 10 mins? If you get that amount of people for oasis gig there always going to hit the bars. Was it 4pm the time the gates opened?

I'm well aware that a lot of people in the same place is called a crowd. Four people to check tickets for that many people though is a disgrace. My friend was at a concert on Saturday night with 50 thousand people there and had no queue at all to get in, so it's nothing to do with the amount of people going, it's to do with the amount of people working at the gig and the organisation which is what the thread was about, unfortunately for you, you seemed to have missed my point completely.

I was under no illusions that I would be out of a car park in 10 minutes (I don't recall where I said that, maybe you can point it out to me?) but four hours is pushing it. An hour, maybe two at the most.

Again, it's not the amount of people going to concerts that's the problem, it's the lack of staff to deal with them which is.

It was pointless turning up earlier, spoke to girl on bus who had turned up at two, and got in just before me. Been to many Oasis gigs in past, and never experienced anything like that!!!
