Chances of getting in festival with press pass wrong name on ticket though!

Hi Guys

I've been given a press pass ticket, only problem is, it has someone else's name on it, but no photo.

What do you think the chances of me getting in the festival with it are? Any advice would be gratefully recieved thanks - I really want to go and this is my last chance I'm thinking

If you have a ticket with a name and no photo, you will have to show photo ID to get in...

Rubbish... thats what I thought, do you think they'll accept things like library cards or work id's on the gate?

..you could chance your arm saying you didn't want to risk losing your passport/driving license...the bloke camped beside me in '05 got in with the dodgiest looking fake ID I've ever seen...theoretically they'll say you could have gotten a citizen's card if you didn't want to lose your passport/license, but it's all down to who you get at the gate....some are lax about it, some are strict (only doing their job though!)...

edit: if you can make up a work ID with the correct name on it, it might just work...especially if it suggested you should have a press pass!

yeah i probably can, do you thiink they'd buy that, don't want to drive all the way there only to be told I need photo id

I had a press ticket in 2008 and if I remember rightly I had to show my driving licence at the gate. I'd have thought that arrangements with press tickets are a little more fluid than with normal tickets though. Can the person who gave it to you call up the press dept and advise them that someone else will be going in their place?
