I have managed to get one of the pre pay cards from caxonfx, really good exchange rate and no fees (from them) for using the card abroad. Im with lloyds and their fees for using my debit card abroad are disgusting!

I'm taking only 150 euros over with me and going to use my card for anything else, the charge is fairly small and is usually a maximum amount of £5 with HSBC so try to take out as much as you can in one transaction rather than multiple smaller ones.
